Preferences
The Preferences dialog brings together the application's general settings.
Open it with Ctrl+, or from Edit → Preferences.
It is a modal window: changes are applied instantly, and it closes with Esc or
by clicking outside the dialog. Categories appear in the left column.
General and Appearance
For now these are placeholders:
- General: shows General settings coming soon.
- Appearance: shows Appearance settings coming soon.
They do not contain editable options in this version.
Sounds

| Volume | 0–100% (60) | Overall volume of the cues. |
| Output device | System default or a device from the list | Audio card or output used for the sounds. |
The sounds are short and tonal; they do not affect embroidery playback.
Canvas
The Canvas category contains exactly the same panel as Canvas Settings:

Grid: spacing, visibility, snapping, and color. -
Rulers and guides: visibility, locking, snapping, color, and clearing. - Units: millimeters, centimeters, or inches.

Hoop: model, fabric color, and measurements.
Changes are shared between both dialogs.
Objects
The Objects category defines the defaults for new objects. It does not modify objects that already exist in the design. It has six tabs:

| Stitches | Initial values for running lines: type, lengths, passes, and tie-offs. |
| Fill | Pattern, spacing, angle, backstitch, and underlay of fills. |
| Column A | Satin stitch, entry/exit, underlay, and travel for columns A. |
| Column B | The same values for columns B, with their corners. |
| Column C | The same values for columns C, with start width, end width, and offset. |
| Connections | How blocks and objects are linked with travel. |
Each tab uses the same panel as the Properties card, so the names and ranges are identical.
Connections

| Travel clearance | 0–20 mm (2.0) | Distance kept from the edge when traveling between blocks. |
| Travel stitch length | 0.5–20 mm (2.5) | Length of the stitches that make up the connection travel. |
These values affect the travel that joins stitch blocks and objects. See also What is saved in the file.
Language
The interface language is chosen from a list of 16 languages:
English, Español, Português (Brasil), Français, Deutsch, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文, Italiano, Nederlands, Türkçe, Русский, हिन्दी, Bahasa Indonesia, Polski, and Svenska.
- The selection is applied immediately, without restarting.
- The current language is highlighted in the list.
- The choice is saved for future sessions.
